We’re So “Berry” Happy to Have New Neighbors!
How I Made a Sweet Welcome Gift on a Budget
Y’all know I love a good Dollar General run, especially when I can pull together something cute, fun, and affordable—so when new neighbors moved in across the street, I wanted to put together a little gift that was as sweet as summer strawberries.
I spotted the cutest plastic juice container shaped like a strawberry (yes, at DG!) and instantly had an idea. I grabbed a Strawberry Fanta, a few strawberry-themed goodies I could find around the store (think snacks, pink treats, and anything with berry vibes), and filled the container like a mini welcome basket.
To finish it off, I made a custom gift tag that reads:
“We are so BERRY HAPPY you are our NEW NEIGHBORS!” 🍓
(I mean, how cute is THIS???)
It’s simple, budget-friendly, and made with love—and that’s my favorite kind of DIY. Whether it’s cookies, candles, or cute containers, a small gesture goes a long way in making someone feel welcome.
So if you’ve got new neighbors or just want to sprinkle a little kindness around, this is an easy idea you can recreate with whatever strawberry (or themed!) items you find at your local discount store.
