Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup cold butter (cubed)
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh chives
- ¾ cup buttermilk (plus 1 tbsp for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, soda, and salt.
- Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Stir in cheese and chives. Add buttermilk and mix until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls onto parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush with buttermilk and bake 14–16 minutes until golden.
