Today is Easter Sunday—and while I love the pretty tulips, the bunny cakes, and even the pastel M&Ms, I just want to pause and say this clearly:
Easter isn’t about candy or bunnies. It’s about our Savior.
It’s about a cross that looked like death, but became the doorway to life.
It’s about a tomb that couldn’t hold Him.
It’s about Jesus—the Son of God—who died for us, and then rose again so we could be free.
🌿 The Greatest Gift of Grace
There’s a verse I come back to every single Easter:
“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” – Matthew 28:6
That one sentence changes everything.
Jesus didn’t just come to be a good teacher or a kind man.
He came to rescue us.
He bore the weight of every sin—mine, yours, all of ours—and nailed it to the cross.
But the cross wasn’t the end of the story.
Three days later, the stone was rolled away. The grave was empty.
And our Savior was alive.
So What Does That Mean for Us?
It means hope.
It means forgiveness.
It means we never have to earn God’s love—because Jesus already did what we never could.
Easter is the celebration of new life.
It’s the reminder that no matter how dark our Friday feels, Sunday always comes.
A Prayer for You This Easter
If you’re reading this and feeling tired, discouraged, or even a little lost—know this:
You are deeply loved by the One who gave everything to bring you back to Him.
Let His resurrection be your reminder today:
You are redeemed.
You are never alone.
And the best is yet to come.
Printable Scripture Cards
If you’d like to keep these words close, I created a few printable cards you can tuck into your Bible, frame on your table, or send in a card to someone who needs encouragement.

Today, I Celebrate
Not because of the cake I baked or the table I decorated—but because I serve a risen Savior who loves me more than I’ll ever understand.
Happy Easter, friends.
He is Risen. He is Risen indeed.
