Today is Good Friday.
A quiet, heavy day. A holy day. A day that doesn’t feel “good” at first glance—but one that holds the deepest kind of goodness.
Because today is the day Jesus laid down His life for us.
🕊️ The Cross Was Not the End
On this day, over 2,000 years ago, our Savior was mocked, beaten, and crucified. He was innocent—but He chose to carry the weight of every sin, every shame, every broken piece of us.
He didn’t run from the cross.
He walked toward it—for you, for me, for all of us.
“But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.” – Isaiah 53:5
He took the punishment we deserved, and in exchange, He gave us peace.
That’s what today is about.
It’s not about sadness.
It’s about sacrifice.
It’s about love poured out.
🌿 A Quiet Reflection
Good Friday invites us to slow down. To remember. To let the weight of the cross settle in our hearts—not to guilt us, but to remind us of how deeply we are loved.
So today, I’m not rushing.
I’m not decorating.
I’m not baking.
I’m simply sitting at the foot of the cross, in awe of the grace that was given freely for me.
💬 A Prayer for Good Friday
Jesus, thank You for the cross.
For choosing love when You could have chosen comfort.
For staying when You could have walked away.
Help me never take this gift for granted.
Let my life reflect the sacrifice You made.
And let my heart wait with hope for the empty tomb.
Amen.

🕯️ Today, I Remember
It’s called Good Friday…
Because the greatest act of love the world has ever known happened on a hill called Calvary.
And because of it—we are free.
