Chocolate Guiness Cake

- 1 cup Guinness stout
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
In a medium saucepan, combine the Guinness and cocoa powder over low heat until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Add the butter, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
Gradually add the Guinness mixture to the batter, stirring until combined.
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
