Ingredients

  • 2 cans 21 oz each apple pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix spice cake works too for extra fall flavor!
  • Β½ cup 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • Β½ cup caramel sauce plus more for drizzling
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Optional: Β½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350Β°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Spread the apple pie filling evenly across the bottom of the dish.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon, then drizzle with Β½ cup caramel sauce.
  • Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the top (don’t stir).
  • Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix, covering as much as possible.
  • Sprinkle with nuts if using.
  • Bake for 45–50 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with extra caramel for that bakery-style finish.

Notes

🍨 Serving Suggestions

  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (my favorite).
  • Top with homemade whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel.
  • Add a sprinkle of sea salt for a salted caramel twist.
